Critical Tasks:

The Applications Delivery unit provides for application integration, delivery and remote access to desktop applications. This includes but is not limited to the enterprise application management, and solution delivery to sustain the current and future desktop environment systems. As detailed below, the individual positions within this work unit will be required to collaborate and assist staff in other technology work units.
As members of the Applications Delivery work unit, the Systems Analyst/Engineer provides a high level, broad spectrum of systems analysis, engineering, and project management for client technology platforms that support Enterprise services and missions. Specifically, this position provides for Systems Analysis, Systems Administration, Systems Engineering, Security Administration and Project Management. The primary work for this position is to analyze, engineer and implement systems related to integration, delivery and remote management of software programs and applications into organizational information systems. This position is responsible for testing the desktop interoperability of application modules under development by in-house software development teams. The position also supports underlying technology platforms that provide the enterprise and desktop delivery of mission critical and other applications systems. These platforms include Citrix, SMS, various desktop imaging systems and other virtual delivery systems such as Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
